Banking Application Specialist (Cobol/LANSA)

We are looking for a legacy Banking Application Specialist to participate in a large-scale banking transformation and application consolidation project.

Responsibilities:

• Analysis of existing legacy application logic and workflows
• Functional and technical mapping to the target Core Banking environment
• Support of migration and consolidation activities
• Collaboration with business and technical teams
• Documentation and knowledge transfer activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Proven hands-on experience with the combination of Cobol/LANSA or Cobol/Cool:Plex
• Strong understanding of legacy enterprise application architecture and maintenance
• Experience analyzing and documenting existing application logic, workflows, and data flows
• Ability to perform functional and technical mapping between legacy systems and target Core Banking platforms
• Experience participating in migration, consolidation, or modernization projects
• Knowledge of banking systems, especially Loans, Core Banking, or Financial Services applications
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge
• Understanding of batch processing, interfaces, and integration mechanisms in enterprise systems
• Ability to collaborate effectively with business analysts, architects, developers, and QA teams
• Experience in enterprise banking environments and mission-critical systems is highly desirable
