Description

You're not the person who cold-calls banks, insurance companies, and enterprise clients – you're the one they already know. At SQUER, we help our clients become AI-native Engineering Organizations – from individual software development and Platform Engineering to AI & Data. We're present in Germany and growing – and we're looking for someone who actively shapes that growth. Not manages it. Shapes it.

Your tasks

  • Market Development Germany: You systematically expand our presence in the German Enterprise and FSI market – building on existing client relationships, targeted network cultivation, and genuine presence at the right conferences and in the right conversations.
  • Strategic Pipeline: You develop and maintain a sustainable sales pipeline – from the first point of contact through to a structured handover to our Business Unit Leads. You bring the deal home, the team makes it big.
  • Pre-Sales Ownership: You independently lead initial needs analyses and Discovery Workshops – creating clarity on the client side before our experts take over.
  • Positioning: You understand what it means to develop an organization into an AI-native Engineering Organization – and can translate this narrative convincingly into the context of client problems, whether it's software transformation, Platform Engineering, AI & Data, or individual software development.
  • Thought Leadership: You represent SQUER credibly in front of CIOs, CTOs, and C-level decision-makers – not with pitch-deck energy, but with genuine understanding.
  • Shaping SQUER: You feed insights back inward – your market instinct flows directly into our development. At SQUER, the people who are out there also shape what happens inside.

Your qualifications

  • Network: You have a grown network in the German FSI and/or Enterprise space – contacts who pick up when you call, not just accept your LinkedIn requests.
  • Consulting Background: You come from IT consulting or individual software development and know how complex projects come to life, what makes them fail – and what clients truly need.
  • Technical Understanding: You can speak at eye level with architects and CTOs – not because you know everything, but because you ask the right questions and understand technical contexts.
  • Pre-Sales Experience: You have independently led Discovery Workshops and pre-sales processes and know how to turn a first conversation into a concrete mandate.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: You don't need close guidance. You set your own goals, spot opportunities, and act – before anyone asks. This is a growth role with real room to shape things – and that's exactly what drives you.
  • Language: Fluent German and English are required.
  • AI-native: You actively use AI tools in your work – or are genuinely ready to start.
