We are looking for a skilled Product Engineer with strong Calypso expertise to join a leading banking client in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Calypso development, scripting, and integration, along with a solid understanding of treasury and capital markets products. This role involves working closely with front office, risk, and operations teams to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support solutions within the Calypso platform
- Work on Calypso scripting, APIs, and customization
- Collaborate with business stakeholders across Front Office, Risk, and Operations
- Handle trade lifecycle management including trade capture, validation, settlement, and reporting
- Develop and support integration frameworks using REST APIs, FIX, and Kafka
- Work on pricing, valuation, and risk calculations
- Manage scheduled tasks, workflows, and engine configurations
- Ensure system stability, performance tuning, and issue resolution
- Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and production support
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Calypso
- Strong understanding of Calypso architecture and core modules
- Experience with Calypso APIs and scripting
- Solid knowledge of Equity and Treasury products, including:
- FX / Money Market
- Bonds / Repo
- Interest Rate Swaps (IRS)
- Cross Currency Swaps (CCS)
- Credit Default Swaps (CDS)
- Good understanding of trade lifecycle processes
- Experience in settlement, accounting, reporting, workflows, and scheduled tasks
- Hands-on experience with Front Office module (Workstation, Pricing Sheet)
- Strong programming skills in Core Java
- Good experience with Oracle Database (SQL/PLSQL)
- Understanding of REST API frameworks
- Familiarity with real-time integration patterns (FIX/Kafka)
Good to Have
- Experience with Calypso Risk Modules (ERS, Limits)
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as SA-CCR, FRTB
- Exposure to banking or financial services domain in GCC
