IN A NUTSHELL

We are looking for a Regulatory & Compliance Specialist to take a leading role in shaping and strengthening our regulatory and compliance landscape. In this position, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and ensure our organization operates in full compliance with regulatory requirements while remaining efficient and business-oriented.
You will have end-to-end ownership in a small, highly effective team, working at the intersection of regulators and IT in a fast-growing field, with significant freedom to shape structures and processes and the speed to turn ideas into reality.

Your mission

  • Analyzing, assessing, and implementing regulatory requirements at national and European level
  • Advising management and internal stakeholders on regulatory matters
  • Supporting the development and implementation of sustainable Risk & Compliance frameworks
  • Designing and maintaining policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Acting as primary contact for customer regulatory requirements and audits, working closely with clients that are themselves subject to regulatory oversight
  • Monitoring regulatory changes and translating them into operational requirements
  • Acting as a key contact for regulatory authorities such as BaFin and the Deutsche Bundesbank or auditors
  • Leading and continuously enhancing end-to-end KYC processes, ensuring robust customer due diligence
  • Preparing and submitting regulatory notifications and reports
  • Supporting training initiatives related to compliance and regulatory topics
  • Ensuring data protection compliance in close collaboration with the Data Protection Officer

Your profile

  • Completed degree in Law, Business Law, Economics, or a comparable field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or risk management
  • Experience within banking, financial services, insurance, FinTech, consulting, or audit environments
  • Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks in the financial sector, e.g. ZAG, ZAG-MaRisk, DORA
  • Experience in working with regulatory authorities, auditors or supervisory processes is a strong advantage
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Structured, precise, and solution-oriented working style
  • Confident communication skills and a professional presence
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong ownership and accountability
  • Excellent communication skills in both German and English
Desirable qualifications
  • Experience in regulatory reporting
  • Experience in financial regulatory environments
  • Experience designing compliance training or internal guidelines
  • Interest in technology-driven or FinTech environments
