About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Plant HR Head, reporting to CHRO.
This critical leadership role will be based at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Sanand, Ahmedabad employing ~ 1000+ employees, where you will be instrumental in shaping People Strategy and fostering a High-Performance Culture.
Responsibilities & Key Result Areas:
- Strategic Workforce Planning: Develop and execute strategic workforce plans aligned with business objectives.
- Talent Management: Spearhead Employer Branding, Talent Acquisition, Succession Planning, and retention of key talent.
- Employee Engagement & Experience: Drive initiatives for high employee engagement, positive employee experience, and effective internal communications.
- Industrial Relations & Compliance: Expertly manage Collective Bargaining, Long-Term Wage Settlements, Contract Labour Management, Disciplinary Actions, and ensure robust Legal Compliance. Liaison with Government Authorities & Legal Practitioners.
- Performance & Compensation Management: Oversee Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits Bench-marking, Annual Salary Revisions and Reward & Recognition programs.
- HR Policies & Processes: Develop, refine, and implement HR policies and processes, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Organizational Development: Lead Change Management initiatives, foster Competency/Skill Development, and actively promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
- Cost Management: Control and drive for optimum Personnel costs, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Employee Relations: Effectively handle employee sensitive matters, including low performance, disciplinary issues, rightsizing, and involuntary exits.

- Professional Competence: Knowledge of Labour Laws, Broad Experience of various HR sub-functions, ability to develop & refine HR Processes & Policies with proven skill of handling sensitive employee matters.
- Strategic Competence: Ability to benchmark Industry and Regional Best Practices, Partner strategically with Business Leaders to translate long-term business objectives into actionable people strategies. Leverage HR analytics and data-driven insights to drive informed decision-making, workforce effectiveness, and organizational performance.
Education: Post-Graduation in Human Resources Management. Additional Qualification in Law will be an added advantage.
Experience: Minimum 20+ years of post-qualification experience with at least 5 years in Plant HR function.
Language Proficiency: Fluency in English & Hindi.
Knowledge of Gujarati language will be an added advantage.
