About the role
As a Industrial Automation Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in developing high-performance embedded firmware solutions for advanced Industrial Automation products. You will contribute to OPC UA FX fieldbus implementations, Linux integration, MPU peripheral configuration, and Functional Safety Related development in a dynamic international R&D environment.
You will collaborate closely with experienced firmware, hardware, and system engineers on the full product lifecycle — from design and implementation to testing, optimization, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded firmware and safety related products in C for Industrial Automation products
- Implement and support industrial communication protocols (OPC UA FX)
- Configure and optimize MPU peripherals (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, ADC, DMA, etc.)
- Perform firmware debugging, testing, validation, and performance optimization
- Collaborate with hardware and system engineers on firmware development throughout the product development cycle
- Participate in code reviews and maintain clear, modular firmware documentation
- Continuously improve firmware reliability, maintainability, and real-time performance
- Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Solid experience in embedded firmware development (recent graduates with strong projects/internships are welcome)
- Good proficiency in embedded C
- Basic understanding of microcontrollers and real-time embedded systems
- Familiarity with Linux RT system
- Understanding of common communication protocols and embedded interfaces
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Strong willingness to learn and grow within Industrial Automation technologies
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with IEC 61508 or ISO 13849
- Familiarity with debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.)
