About Kota

Kota is reimagining insurance and retirement benefits for the modern workforce. Through our two flagship products, Kota Platform, the first fully integrated benefits platform, and Kota Embed, our embedded insurance solution, we're making benefits more accessible, valued, and global.

Today, we power benefits for tens of thousands of employees at Europe's most forward-thinking companies, including Carwow, Tines, Zoe, and Remote. Founded in 2022, we've raised more than €20M from leading investors like EQT Ventures, Eurazeo, Northzone, and Frontline, along with founders and executives from Workday, Remote, Personio, OpenAI, and more.

The Role

Integrations with financial services providers, insurers, pension providers and more, sit at the heart of our products. As Integrations Associate, you'll keep those integrations running reliably day to day and help bring new carriers and providers onto the network. Your work supports tens of thousands of employees across 100+ countries who rely on Kota to access their benefits.

This suits someone analytical and detail-oriented who likes understanding complex systems, not from a coding angle, but from a process, logic and requirements standpoint. You'll be the bridge between external providers, internal teams and engineering. No coding required.

What You'll Do

  • Run requirements discovery with new and existing providers: ask the right questions, work out what data needs to flow where, and document the specs engineers build from.

  • Map integration flows end to end, turning provider requirements, product capabilities and customer needs into clear diagrams.

  • Support go-lives by testing flows against agreed specs, coordinating sign-off across teams, and getting everything documented and production-ready before a provider goes live.

  • Join governance meetings to track how integrations are performing and catch issues early.

  • Keep integration documentation accurate and easy for internal teams to use.

  • Work across Benefits, Compliance, Engineering, Operations and Carrier Partnerships to troubleshoot, capture new requirements, and spot ways to make the process more scalable.

What We're Looking For

  • Genuinely curious about how complex systems connect. More interested in the what and why than the how-to-code.

  • An analytical problem solver. You break problems into components, spot patterns and work through complexity with logic.

  • Creative when there's no standard solution.

  • Detail-focused without losing sight of the bigger picture.

  • A clear, proactive communicator who keeps technical and non-technical teams aligned.

  • Composed under pressure, able to juggle concurrent priorities and triage what matters.

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to financial services, fintech or insurtech

  • Basic familiarity with APIs or software concepts

  • Experience documenting processes

  • Experience configuring SaaS tools or workflows (Zapier, HubSpot, Salesforce or similar).

Our Values
Have Integrity.
We care deeply about our why and it won't jeopardise our how.

Care Deeply.
Our products are our story, we look at the details, go the extra mile to delight customers.

Own Your Ship.
Ask why, do the work, get the data, solve the problem, be an owner.

Raise the Bar.
We continuously look to push past good enough. Expect more, move faster, and never stop raising your and the team's standards.

Play to Win.
We exist because we decided to say no to the norm, now we do this everyday.

Our Hiring Process

We like to keep things simple and respectful of your time - here’s what you can expect:

Intro Chat (30 mins): A casual conversation with the Head of Integrations to learn more about you, your experience, and what you’re looking for. We’ll also tell you more about Kota and the role.

Technical Interview (60 mins)
This session is a chance to work through a real world problem together. We’ll look at how you think, approach challenges, and communicate your ideas. You’ll talk through how you’d gather information, troubleshoot an issue, or outline a process. We’ll also touch on some of the technical areas you’d work with in the role, like APIs and other integration methods, to get a feel for your understanding and curiosity. The focus is on how you think and learn, not on having all the answers

Final Chat (30–45 mins)

A conversation with 1-2 of our founders, focused on getting to know you as a person. How you think, what drives you, and whether we’re aligned in values and ways of working. It’s as much about culture fit as it is about mutual excitement.

That’s it. No take-home assignments. No endless rounds. Just a chance for both of us to get to know each other and see if it’s a good fit.
