About the role

Roles & Responsibilities :
POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly technical, execution-driven Product Owner to champion our DevOps Practice.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between strategic business objectives and technical execution. You will not just manage a backlog; you will shape the future of our automated infrastructure, deployment workflows, and continuous integration ecosystems.

The ideal candidate possesses strong hands-on foundational experience or deep practical knowledge of modern DevOps topologies, automated deployment strategies, configuration management tools (specifically Ansible), and multi-cloud sync architectures. Equally critical are your soft skills: you must excel at Agile orchestration, high-impact communication, and navigating complex stakeholder dynamics to align engineering capabilities with business value.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. DevOps Strategy & Automated Deployments Advocacy

· Serve as the domain expert driving the optimization of CI/CD pipelines, automated artifact deployments, and self-healing infrastructure.

· Collaborate with tech leads to prioritize technical debt reduction, system architectural upgrades, and automated testing frameworks alongside feature delivery.

· Incorporate Ansible playbooks and automation patterns into standard deployment roadmaps to achieve immutable, predictable environment provisioning.

2. Cloud Sync & Multi-Cloud Lifecycles

· Define requirements for robust cloud sync mechanisms, cross-region replication, state management, and high-availability cloud storage/compute frameworks.

· Ensure product roadmaps account for data consistency, security boundaries, and continuous synchronization across hybridized or multi-cloud environments.

3. Product Vision & Backlog Management (Agile Execution)

· Own, prioritize, and maintain the DevOps practice product backlog, translating high-level business capabilities into clear, actionable epic- and story-level technical requirements.

· Lead Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release planning, ensuring engineering squads have an uninterrupted pipeline of well-defined work.

· Define explicit Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done (DoD) tailored for infrastructure, pipeline components, and platform stability.

4. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

· Act as the primary interface between core engineering, security compliance, business units, and executive leadership.

· Translate dense, complex engineering achievements or roadblocks into transparent, value-oriented updates for non-technical stakeholders.

· Foster a strong culture of collaboration across siloed operational and development teams, driving the developer-experience (DevEx) feedback loop to continuously improve tools.

We are looking for a professional who balances practical technical capability with strong leadership and product management acumen.

Technical Mastery & Experience

· DevOps Practice: Strong foundational or hands-on experience in platform engineering, CI/CD pipeline structures (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), and system infrastructure.

· Automated Deployments: Practical grasp of deployment patterns (Blue/Green, Canary, Rolling updates) and continuous delivery paradigms.

· Ansible Expertise: Direct experience writing or managing Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules for automated configuration management and orchestration.

· Cloud Sync & Infrastructure: Good understanding of major cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with specialized focus on cloud synchronization, storage replicas, and networking configurations.

Leadership & Soft Skills

· Agile Execution: Proven track record acting as a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager within a mature Scrum or Kanban framework.

· Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated capability to manage diverse, conflicting

expectations from engineering teams, security officers, and business leaders.

· Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to distill complex architectural concepts into clear, high-level business narratives.

· Collaboration & Empathy: A team-first attitude with the cross-functional leadership presence required to guide engineering squads without authoritative mandate.

Experience: 8 - 10 years

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical industry experience.

· Any active Cloud Practitioner or DevOps Engineer certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Red Hat Ansible) are a definitive plus.

· Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) designation is highly advantageous.
