About the role

  • Support the definition and maintenance of technical documentation related to the hosting infrastructure of GOVSATCOM Hub and GSMC sites.
  • Review technical documentation, including Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Design Change Notices (DCNs), Design Change Proposals (DCPs), as well as Requests for Deviation (RFDs) and Requests for Waiver (RFWs).
  • Participate in technical reviews, project milestones and governance boards, providing engineering assessments and recommendations.
  • Contribute to deployment and operational readiness reviews, including Site Qualification and Performance Monitoring (QPM), Physical Security Reviews (PSR) and Installation Acceptance Reviews (IAR).
  • Present technical documentation and engineering findings during project and operational review boards.
  • Monitor and coordinate Customer Furnished Items (CFIs) relevant to hosting infrastructure within system development activities.
  • Attend technical meetings and perform on-site visits to support infrastructure verification and implementation activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure hosting solutions meet programme requirements and quality standards.
  • University degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience in systems engineering, infrastructure engineering or data centre/site engineering.
  • Knowledge of requirements engineering, technical documentation and configuration management.
  • Familiarity with engineering reviews and project lifecycle milestones.
  • Ability to analyse technical documentation and provide structured engineering assessments.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with international stakeholders.
  • Experience with space, defence or other critical infrastructure programmes.
  • Knowledge of systems integration and hosting infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with European institutional projects (ESA, EUSPA or the European Commission).
  • Understanding of security and operational requirements for mission-critical systems.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
