About the role

For our client from the banking industry, we are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a team responsible for developing and maintaining critical business applications in a modern technology environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications within the banking domain
  • Collaborate closely with Business Analysts and QA Engineers in a self-organizing Agile (Scrum) team
  • Ensure the security and reliability of developed solutions
  • Create and maintain unit and automated tests
  • Work with large-scale datasets of various structures
  • Integrate applications with internal banking systems
  • Optimize and enhance existing solutions to meet business and technical requirements

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of commercial experience in Java development
  • Strong knowledge of Java 17
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience working with Kubernetes
  • Solid understanding of RDBMS databases
  • Strong knowledge of software development best practices and design principles, including SOLID, DRY, KISS, and Clean Code
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Apache Cassandra
  • Basic knowledge of Python
  • Experience working in complex, highly integrated environments
  • Understanding of testable software design and automated testing practices
  • Experience with data modeling and SQL query optimization
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture
