Role Description
Sigma Aerospace Workforce is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Structures to support F-35 Defence aviation maintenance at Williamtown, NSW.

This permanent role is suited to an experienced Structures AME with Certificate IV Aeroskills qualifications, strong maintenance discipline and the ability to work in a structured MRO environment supporting Defence aviation operations.

You will:
  • Carry out aircraft structures maintenance tasks in line with approved maintenance data and procedures
  • Support scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance activities
  • Inspect, repair and maintain aircraft structural components and assemblies
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow Defence aviation maintenance requirements
  • Work safely as part of a high-performing engineering and maintenance team

Essential Requirements
Required Role Experience:
Minimum 4+ years’ aircraft maintenance experience in a structures role. Defence aviation, fast jet, F-35 or structured MRO experience will be highly regarded.

Maintenance Qualification / Licence:
Certificate IV in Aeroskills - Structures required.

Work Rights:
Must have Australian work rights and be able to satisfy Defence aviation employment and site access requirements.

Location / Availability:
Permanent relocation to Newcastle / Williamtown, NSW is required.

Additional Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain NV1 security clearance. Current driver’s licence preferred.

Skills:
Strong aircraft structures maintenance knowledge, repair discipline, documentation accuracy, and confidence working to approved procedures in a regulated aircraft maintenance environment.

Attitude:
Safety-first, reliable, professional, team-focused and able to work effectively within a structured Defence aviation maintenance team.
