Job Description and Duties
Under the general direction of the Public Area Supervisor, a Supervisor I, this position is responsible for a wide variety of increasingly complex and analytical tasks associated with the processing and review of registration and disclosure documents filed under the campaign and lobbying provisions of the Political Reform Act. The work is performed in an indoor office setting and requires the incumbent to have knowledge of office methods and procedures and have the ability to operate standard office equipment, type, sit, stand, and/or walk.
The incumbent will maintain regular, consistent, and predictable attendance. This position is not eligible for telework.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Meticulous attention to detail to avoid errors in documentation and record-keeping
- Basic numeracy skills for tasks involving calculations or financial records
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in tasks or work environment, and handle a variety of responsibilities
- Ability to properly apply laws, rules, policies, and procedures and meet deadlines
- Ability to research and analyze data, solve moderately complex problems and recommend an effective course of action
- Ability to build and maintain cooperative working relationships with others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An interest in learning the importance of transparency in campaign finance and lobbying, and knowledge of filer types, filing schedules and disclosure forms required by the Political Reform Act
- Describe in detail your experience in customer service, including difficult or complex situations if applicable.

The incumbent will maintain regular, consistent, and predictable attendance. This position is not eligible for telework.
Please Note: In accordance with Government Code Sections 19080-19083 the position is established for 12 months and may be extended for another 12 months; and may become permanent.
