About the role
Rubik Built Assistant Superintendent – Construction
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant Superintendent to support day-to-day field operations on construction projects. This role works closely with the Superintendent, Project Manager, subcontractors, vendors, and field crews to help keep work moving safely, efficiently, and according to plan.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist the Superintendent with daily jobsite coordination, scheduling, and field supervision.
· Coordinate subcontractors, material deliveries, inspections, and site logistics to support project milestones.
· Monitor work in place for quality, safety, and compliance with plans, specifications, and company standards.
· Help maintain daily reports, site logs, punch lists, photos, and other project documentation.
· Support safety meetings, jobsite inspections, and enforcement of OSHA and company safety requirements.
· Communicate field issues, schedule impacts, and needed decisions to the Superintendent and Project Manager.
· Assist with project closeout, final inspections, and turnover activities.
Qualifications
· Previous construction field experience required; assistant superintendent, foreman, project engineer, or skilled trade experience preferred.
· Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and scopes of work.
· Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
· Working knowledge of jobsite safety practices and construction sequencing.
· Ability to coordinate multiple trades and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Basic computer skills; experience with construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar programs is a plus.
· OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
