About the Role

We're looking for an Associate Software Engineer who is excited to learn, solve problems, and build production software.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity designed for recent graduates, bootcamp graduates, or early-career engineers looking to gain hands-on startup experience.

You'll work directly with the founder, collaborate on product decisions, and ship features that thousands of customers interact with. You'll gain experience across the entire development lifecycle while working with modern technologies and AI-powered products.

What You'll Do

• Build new product features using Next.js, React, and TypeScript
• Develop backend services and APIs using Python
• Integrate third-party APIs and AI services
• Build internal tools and dashboards
• Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Troubleshoot bugs and improve application performance
• Collaborate with founders to turn ideas into production features
• Continuously learn new technologies and best practices

Qualifications

Required

• Strong understanding of JavaScript or TypeScript
• Experience building web applications through coursework, internships, personal projects, or professional work
• Familiarity with Git
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Passion for learning new technologies

• Experience with React or Next.js
• Python experience

Compensation & Benefits

• $22/hour
• 35 hours per week
• Hybrid work environment (1 day/week in NYC)
