About the role
Job Summary:
Support AWS cloud operations by monitoring cloud infrastructure, performing daily health checks, investigating alerts, validating backups, managing logs and access, supporting deployment runbooks, and handling infrastructure tasks across EC2, EBS, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudWatch, SSM, Dynatrace, and TriZetto Facets.
Key Responsibilities
● Perform daily health checks, including disk space monitoring, SSM agent status, EC2 and RDS availability, backup validation, and operational reporting.
● Manage VPC Flow Logs, EC2 logs, S3 bucket access policies, AWS account access in LZ2, DNS private hosted zones, firewall changes, and SSL certificate requests.
● Support application deployments by executing approved runbooks and work instructions.
● Send weekend service downtime communications and maintain operational documentation.
● Configure and manage AWS CloudWatch and Dynatrace monitoring, alerts, dashboards, notification workflows, and Dynatrace OneAgent installation.
● Investigate monitoring alerts related to outages, service degradation, network issues, infrastructure failures, and production-impacting incidents.
● Manage EBS snapshots, EBS disk sizing, EC2 and container restarts, AWS account creation, AMI and S3 cross-account sharing, and infrastructure resizing based on approved guidance.
● Monitor Subversion code repositories and support TriZetto Facets suite installation activities.
● Validate infrastructure status, monitoring results, backups, and deployment activities as part of daily cloud operations.
Required Skills:
● Hands-on experience with AWS operations across EC2, EBS, RDS, S3, VPC, Route 53 private hosted zones, CloudWatch, SSM, IAM and access management, AMIs, and account operations.
● Strong experience with AWS CloudWatch and Dynatrace for monitoring, observability, alert investigation, log analysis, dashboard management, and production support.
● Experience managing cloud access, account-related activities, infrastructure monitoring, and operational reporting.
● Experience managing VPC Flow Logs, EC2 logs, S3 access policies, backup validation, DNS and firewall coordination, SSL certificates, and cross-account resource sharing.
● Strong skills in runbook execution, troubleshooting, operational documentation, communication, and on-call or weekend support, with Facets experience preferred.
● Ability to perform infrastructure health checks, investigate production-impacting alerts, and support reliable AWS cloud operations.
Qualifications / Certifications
● 6+ years of experience in infrastructure operations, cloud operations, or production support, with 4+ years of hands-on AWS operations experience preferred.
● Demonstrated knowledge of AWS operations, infrastructure support practices, and IT service management principles.
● Preferred certifications include AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Dynatrace Associate or Professional, and ITIL Foundation.
● Strong experience supporting production infrastructure and cloud environments through monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational activities.
