Role Description
Sigma Aerospace Workforce is seeking a B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer for aircraft maintenance opportunities in Townsville or Cairns, QLD.

This role is suited to an experienced LAME with avionics maintenance capability and exposure to Dash or turboprop aircraft operations. You will support safe, compliant aircraft maintenance with an established aviation maintenance team.

You will:
  • Carry out B2 maintenance and certification activities in line with approved maintenance data and procedures
  • Support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Dash or turboprop aircraft
  • Diagnose and rectify avionics, electrical and instrument system defects
  • Maintain accurate documentation and certification records
  • Work safely within a regulated aircraft maintenance environment

Essential Requirements
Required Role Experience:
Aircraft maintenance experience in a turboprop aviation environment. Dash aircraft experience will be highly regarded.

Maintenance Qualification / Licence:
CASA Part 66 B1 or B2 Licence required. Relevant Dash or turboprop aircraft type coverage, approval or experience preferred.

Work Rights:
Must have Australian work rights.

Location / Availability:
Must be based in Townsville or Cairns, QLD, or available to work from either location.

Additional Requirements:
Valid ASIC or ability to obtain. Current driver’s licence preferred.

Skills:
Strong avionics maintenance knowledge, practical fault-finding ability, accurate documentation habits, and confidence working to approved maintenance procedures.

Attitude:
Safety-first, reliable, practical, team-focused and able to work effectively in an aircraft maintenance team.
