Business Development Director, South APAC, Eurofins Discovery

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute South APAC business growth strategy aligned with regional and global objectives.
• Lead and coach a multi-country Business Development team to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with key pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, and research organizations.
• Drive strategic account development and secure new business opportunities across the Discovery portfolio.
• Monitor sales pipeline, forecasting accuracy, and business performance through CRM and commercial reporting.
• Partner closely with Operations, Scientific, Marketing, and Global Commercial teams to maximize market opportunities.
• Identify market trends, competitive intelligence, and emerging client needs to support portfolio expansion.
• Represent Eurofins at industry conferences, client meetings, and regional business events.
• Support major contract negotiations and strategic partnership initiatives.
• Experience with Indian and Chinese market is a plus.

Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• Advanced degree (MBA, MSc, PhD) preferred.
• 10+ years of commercial experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or drug discovery sector.
• Proven success managing regional sales activities across APAC.
• Prior experience leading and developing commercial teams.

• Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Strong leadership capability with experience managing multicultural teams.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Mandarin proficiency highly preferred.
