The BI Analyst collaborates with business units, IT, and leadership to optimize reporting processes, improve operational efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making while maintaining data integrity and security standards.
Experience/Skills necessary to perform duties:
- Education - Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field OR equivalent industry experience.
- BI & Data Visualization Expertise – Strong experience with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker to create interactive dashboards and reports.
- SQL & Data Querying – Proficiency in SQL for extracting and analyzing data from databases and data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server).
- ETL & Data Integration – Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Data Integrity & Quality Assurance – Ability to validate and clean data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability in reporting.
- Collaboration & Communication – Strong ability to work with business users, IT, and leadership to translate data into actionable insights.
Regular Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop & Maintain BI Dashboards – Design and optimize interactive reports that provide real-time insights into key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Analyze Business Performance – Monitor and evaluate trends in customer behavior, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
- Optimize Reporting Processes – Automate and enhance reporting workflows to improve efficiency and data accessibility.
- Support Data-Driven Decision-Making – Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis to drive business strategy.
- Ensure Data Accuracy & Compliance – Validate data integrity while ensuring reports adhere to banking regulations and internal governance policies.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders – Work with business leaders, to align reporting with organizational goals.
