Full‑Time CISO (Chief Information Security Officer)

We’re seeking a senior security leader to own and elevate security across our MSP — protecting our internal environment and leading security strategy for every managed client.

Role Overview
As our full‑time CISO, you will set security strategy, govern risk, lead incident response, and drive standards across a multi‑tenant MSP environment. You’ll oversee internal security for our high‑value systems (RMM, PSA, identity, privileged access) while serving as the vCISO for our client base. You’ll direct and mentor two security engineers, ensuring strong execution, tuning, remediation, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Own internal MSP security posture: hardening, monitoring, privileged access governance, segmentation
• Lead client security programs: baselines, assessments, roadmaps, QBRs, risk communication
• Command major incidents (internal + client) and maintain IR plans
• Govern compliance readiness via Drata; maintain policies, exceptions, and risk registers
• Oversee and optimize our security stack: CrowdStrike, Huntress, Tenable, ThreatLocker, QuickPass, Cloudflare WARP, Microsoft 365/Azure, Google Workspace
• Build repeatable playbooks, runbooks, and engineering standards
• Drive adoption of core security controls across all clients

What You Bring

• Proven CISO/vCISO experience, ideally in an MSP or multi‑tenant environment
• Strong cybersecurity engineering background — comfortable directing hands‑on technical work
• Deep expertise in Microsoft security (Entra/Defender/Azure) and tenant isolation
• Familiarity with EDR, MDR/SIEM, vulnerability management, allowlisting, ZTNA
• Fluency in frameworks such as SOC 2, CMMC, PCI DSS, HIPAA
• Ability to communicate risk clearly to technicians, leadership, and client executives

Role Details
Full‑time, executive‑level position. Remote‑friendly with availability for major incident escalation. Not a tier‑1 responder — you lead strategy, governance, and decision‑making.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
