Cloud Engineer

Our client in the greater Salt Lake City, Utah area is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cloud professional to design, build, and support highly available AWS cloud environment s while partnering closely with software engineering and infrastructure teams.

Please Note:

• 100% onsite (5 days per week in Murray, UT)
• W2 only (No Corp-to-Corp or 3rd Parties)
• No visa sponsorship available
• Open to U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, TN, H4 EAD, and GC EAD

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Lead cloud architecture and infrastructure initiatives supporting enterprise applications
• Automate infrastructure deployments and operational processes
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and optimize cloud performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on cloud initiatives.
• Promote cloud security, operational excellence, and infrastructure best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 7+ years of systems, infrastructure, or cloud engineering experience
• 3+ years of hands-o n AWS cloud experience .
• Strong experience supporting Linux-based environment.
• Experience working closely with development and operations teams .

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience w ith Por t.io (highly preferred)
• 4+ years of Kubernetes experience
• 8+ years of Linux Systems Administration/Engineer
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure.
