Location: Fayetteville, AR

Hours: Monday- Friday, flexible start time 7:00AM - 3:30PM, OR 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 annually (overtime exempt)

Word Machinery, Inc (WMI) seeks extraordinary Control Engineer interested in developing state of the art factory automation machines and systems. WMI serves customers in a wide variety of industries, each with demanding and unique requirements that will stretch you as an engineer.

Almost all of your work will be customized for the project, using sophisticated methods and technologies which will require your best engineering, discipline, communication, customer interface, and teamwork skills.

Requirements

• PLC Ladder Logic Design and Development
• Experience in IEC 61131
• Microsoft Office Applications
• Knowledge and experience with Servo Drives, PLC, PC Controllers, DC Power Supplies, Encoders, Sensors is highly desirable
• Most candidates should have a degree in engineering, physics, etc. Demonstrated success in previous work is a plus. Lack of degree is not a disqualification for the right person.
• Ability to multi-task

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• PLC Software Design and Development
• PC Software Design and Development
• Servo Integration and motion control
• Strong electrical skills include wiring, AC Power, AC Motors, electrical drawing & schematics and control panels.
• Operator Interface Design and Development
• Integration of Machine Controls
• Analyze and calculate machine performance and requirements
• Installation design
• Integration of machine controls
• Install, startup, test, and debug equipment at the customers’ site
• System Startup and Checkout
• Provide field service and support
• Interface and maintain good relationships with customers
• Develop concepts and proposals
• Maintain documentation to track personal and project progress
• Inform Management of budget, schedule, & project status
