About the role
Title : Data Engineer
Location : Rosemont, IL
Duration : Permanent Hire
Schedule : Hybrid 2-3 days onsite/week
Salary : 130-160k
Required Skills & Experience :
- 3+ years of Data Engineering / Data Warehousing experience
- Strong hands-on experience with SSIS ETL
- Advanced SQL Server expertise
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Proven experience designing and moving data from multiple sources into centralized data warehouses
- Strong SQL + Python skills (beyond basics, including optimization)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Nice to Have Skills & Experience :
- Experience with Kafka and/or Couchbase
- DevOps experience (automation of deployments, working in CI/CD ecosystems)
Job Description :
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines moving data from multiple source systems into centralized data warehouses
- Perform day-to-day ETL operations using SSIS and SQL Server
- Collaborate with offshore team members, providing guidance and ensuring accountability
- Participate in CI/CD processes for deployment and automation
- Support ongoing data warehousing initiatives and operational enhancements
- Work on prioritized pipeline tasks with defined deliverables
- Contribute to data platform modernization efforts and future cloud migration
