Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer with 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-scale data solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, cloud-based data platforms, data warehousing, and big data technologies. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, analysts, and application teams to deliver reliable and high-performance data solutions supporting analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives.
The successful candidate should have hands-on experience with cloud platforms, distributed data processing frameworks, real-time data streaming, and modern data lakehouse architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Build and optimize data ingestion frameworks for structured and unstructured data.
- Develop and support enterprise data warehouse and data lake solutions.
- Create and maintain batch and real-time data processing workflows.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms.
- Collaborate with business users, analysts, and architects to gather data requirements.
- Optimize SQL queries and improve data processing performance.
- Integrate data from various sources including APIs, databases, flat files, and streaming platforms.
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
- Implement data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members.
- Work closely with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD practices for data pipelines.
Must-Have Skills
- 8+ years of Data Engineering experience.
- Strong programming experience in Python and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark / PySpark.
- Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or AWS Glue.
- Strong experience with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or Synapse Analytics.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka and real-time data streaming.
- Experience with Databricks and Delta Lake.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and Data Modeling concepts.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required Education

Pay: $125,379.13 - $159,789.92 per year
