Data Engineer, Rf Engineer, Telecoms Electrician

We are looking for a number of self-employed contractors to start immediately covering a variety of works within the telecoms industry. These positions include, Data Engineers, RF engineers and Telecoms Electricians. The candidate will ideally come from a cabling/telecoms background with a core understanding of cabling procedures and Health and Safety. Able to work nights and weekends. Majority of the works will be in the London area. Some works may involve additional travel.

We are also looking for trainee telecoms engineers and cable pullers to learn on the job and gain experience working along side the team leader.

Data Engineer Responsibilities:

- Install, terminate and test Cat5, Cat6 and Cat6a

- Testing using a Fluke tester

- patching panels - Cat5, Cat6 and Cat6a

- installing equipment

A Team Leader role may be available for the right candidate with the desired skills and experience, with the ability to run a small team of engineers, to be able to read and understand design drawings, to be competent in producing a shift report at the end of each shift and to follow and implement all Health and Safety aspects of the job.

RF Engineer Responsibilities:

- Installation of RF Coax cables

- Terminate Coax cables

- Testing Coax cables using an Anritsu SiteMaster

Telecoms Electricians must have:

- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation

- City and Guilds 2382 (IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition)

All job roles will need the following:

ECS/CSCS Card

Public liability Insurance

Valid UK Driving Licence and the ability to make their own way to site
