Data Platform Analyst (Investment Data & Reference Data) | Boston, MA Hybrid | Salary: $155,000 - $170,000 + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

A leading global investment management firm is seeking an experienced Data Platform Analyst to join its Data Engineering & Operations team. This is a high-impact opportunity to play a key role in the evolution of the firm's investment and reference data platforms while partnering closely with Operations, Technology, and Investment teams.

The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in security master and reference data management, along with hands-on experience supporting enterprise data platforms within an asset management environment.

The Opportunity

Joining an experienced and highly tenured team, you will act as a critical subject matter expert supporting portfolio and security master data processes, resolving production issues, improving data quality, and driving platform modernization initiatives.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the future state of core investment data platforms through automation, workflow enhancements, and emerging AI-driven capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain enterprise reference data and security master platforms
• Investigate and resolve production and data quality issues
• Partner with Operations and Investment teams to support portfolio and security setup activities
• Identify process improvement opportunities and drive automation initiatives
• Work closely with developers and data engineers to define and deliver new requirements
• Create business requirements for new datasets, controls, and workflows
• Support security master platform migrations, enhancements, and transformation initiatives
• Develop reporting, monitoring, and data quality controls using SQL, Python, and vendor platforms
• Contribute to the adoption of AI and advanced analytics within data operations

Required Experience

• 10+ years of experience within investment management, asset management, or financial services
• Strong expertise in security master, portfolio, and reference data management
• Hands-on experience with NeoXam DataHub (mandatory)
• Experience supporting or leading data platform conversions or migrations
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience working with financial market data providers such as Bloomberg, LSEG, or ICE

• Python development experience
• AI, automation, or machine learning exposure
• Experience working within enterprise data governance or data quality initiatives
