Data Science Specialist

Role: Data Science Lead (Fraud / Financial Services)

Location: San Jose / Bay Area (Onsite)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on Data Science Lead to drive end-to-end delivery of data science and data engineering projects within the financial services domain. The role involves leading a small team, partnering with stakeholders, and building scalable data/ML solutions on large transactional datasets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead delivery of data science & data engineering projects end-to-end
• Manage and mentor a team of data scientists/engineers
• Design scalable data pipelines and ML solutions
• Build and deploy models (fraud, risk, segmentation, forecasting)
• Write/review production-level Python and SQL
• Collaborate with stakeholders and translate business needs into solutions
• Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance

Key Requirements:

• Relevant years in Data Science (financial services/payments preferred)
• Strong Python & SQL (mandatory)
• Experience in ML modeling (predictive, risk, anomaly detection)
• Prior team leadership & client-facing experience
• Exposure to AWS and modern data engineering practices (preferred)
