Job Title: Senior Data Scientist

Location: Remote (USA)

Duration: Contract (Approx. 3 Months)


About the Role

  • The client is seeking an experienced senior data scientist to join its data science team on a contract basis.
  • This is a backfill opportunity supporting a team member on parental leave.
  • The team operates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where strong technical expertise and the ability to contribute immediately are essential.
  • This role is highly focused on predictive modeling, advanced statistical analysis, and hands-on coding using Python and SQL.
  • The ideal candidate has extensive experience building production-ready machine learning models and translating complex business problems into data-driven solutions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build predictive models to develop audience segmentation strategies.
  • Perform advanced statistical analysis using techniques such as:
  • Predictive Modeling
  • Regression Analysis
  • Decision Trees
  • Cluster Analysis
  • Random Forest
  • XGBoost
  • Support Vector Machines (SVM)
  • Factor Analysis
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover actionable insights.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data products and modeling pipelines.
  • Create automated workflows for model training, scoring, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize machine learning models.
  • Translate business problems into analytical solutions and recommendations.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and troubleshoot data issues as needed.
  • Support long-term strategic initiatives through data-driven insights.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional data science experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with predictive modeling and machine learning.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Experience working with large-scale datasets.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Clustering
  • Segmentation
  • Regression techniques
  • Decision Trees
  • Random Forest
  • XGBoost
  • SVM
  • Experience building production-ready analytical solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Media, Entertainment, Streaming, or Digital Advertising.
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
