About the role
We are looking for an experienced Design & Estimating Engineer to join our team based in our Macquarie Park, NSW office.
Working closely with our Design, Estimating and Project Delivery teams, you will provide technical support throughout the tendering, design and delivery phases of foundation and ground engineering projects. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys both technical design and commercial estimating, while seeing projects progress from concept through to construction.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare concept and detailed designs for piling and foundation solutions
- Develop estimates, tender submissions and technical proposals
- Assess tender documentation and project specifications
- Produce and review engineering calculations and CAD drawings
- Liaise with clients, consultants and internal project teams
- Conduct site inspections, pile testing and provide technical support during construction
- Assist with reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
About you
- Degree qualified in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- 5-10 years experience in design and estimating within geotechnical, piling or foundation engineering
- Strong understanding of geotechnical and foundation systems
- Experience in preparing engineering designs and cost estimates
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of contractual requirements
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to split your time between the office and project sites
