About the role

At EMI we're looking for more than a video editor -we're looking for our next creator.

Someone who loves turning ideas into engaging digital experiences through video, podcasts, social media, compelling copy, and creative storytelling. If you enjoy owning the entire content creation process -from brainstorming and content capture to editing, publishing, and audience engagement -you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a growing brand here at EMI.

This is a part-time, fully remote role with opportunities for future travel to conferences and events to capture original content, and the potential to grow into a full-time position as our marketing efforts continue to expand.

Job Summary

The Digital Content Creator is responsible for bringing EMI's expertise to life through engaging, high-quality digital content that educates, inspires, and grows our audience. Working as part of the Strategic Marketing & Engagement team, this role independently manages the end-to-end content creation process -from concept development and content capture through editing, publishing, distribution, and performance optimization. The Digital Content Creator transforms educational content into compelling multimedia experiences across video, photography, podcasts, webinars, social media, email, websites, and other digital platforms.

This position combines creative storytelling, multimedia production, digital marketing support, and content strategy to strengthen EMI's brand, expand audience engagement, and support organizational growth. Success in this role requires understanding not only how to create compelling content, but also how to adapt, repurpose, and optimize content for different audiences, platforms, and marketing objectives.

While primarily a remote role, periodic travel may be required in the future to conferences, events, and other organizational activities to capture photography, videography, interviews, and other multimedia content that supports EMI's marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Strategic Marketing & Engagement team and internal subject matter experts to develop creative content concepts, campaign ideas, and content strategies that support organizational goals
  • Capture compelling photo, video, and interview content that showcases EMI's expertise, instructors, clients, conferences, events, and organizational initiatives
  • Independently edit and produce podcasts, webinars, promotional videos, interviews, testimonials, educational content, and other multimedia assets
  • Transform long-form educational content into engaging multimedia assets tailored for multiple digital platforms, including short-form videos, promotional content, social media assets, email marketing content, and other digital experiences
  • Write engaging captions, headlines, video descriptions, podcast show notes, promotional copy, and other supporting marketing content
  • Publish, schedule, and distribute content across digital platforms including YouTube, LinkedIn, podcast platforms, websites, email campaigns, and other marketing channels
  • Ensure all multimedia content meets EMI's quality standards for visual consistency, audio quality, branding, accessibility, and overall production excellence
  • Manage production timelines from planning through final delivery while coordinating with internal stakeholders to clarify project scope, timelines, and content requirements
  • Maintain digital asset organization, version control, and media libraries
  • Troubleshoot production-related technical issues independently
  • Update standard operating procedures as production processes evolve, including leveraging AI-powered creative, editing, transcription, and production tools to improve efficiency and quality
  • Recommend workflow improvements that enhance production efficiency while maintaining high-quality content standards
  • Stay current on digital content trends, creator best practices, emerging platforms, AI technologies, and multimedia production techniques to continuously improve EMI's digital presence
  • Support additional marketing, creative, and content initiatives as organizational priorities evolve
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Strong proficiency with professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Da Vinci Resolve or similar multimedia production tools, and post-production workflows
  • Working knowledge of photography, videography, audio production, lighting, and digital content best practices
  • Experience creating content that supports brand awareness, audience engagement, or marketing campaigns
  • Strong copywriting skills with the ability to develop engaging promotional, website, email, and social media content
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative content concepts and independently transform ideas into engaging multimedia content across multiple digital platforms
  • Experience using or adapting to AI-assisted creative and production tools is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders while working independently
  • Ability to travel periodically to conferences, events, and organizational activities to capture multimedia content
