About the role
Position Summary
The Sales Director is a key member of Anderson Air's Leadership Team, responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and commercial divisions. This role leads all sales functions, including CSR/inbound, new construction, and replacement & service, setting the strategy and pricing that guide the business while building and coaching the managers and teams who execute it day to day. This is a growth-stage leadership role: as new divisions launch and scale, the scope and structure of this position will evolve alongside the business.
Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute a unified sales strategy across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, commercial, and new construction, aligning every channel (service & replacement, CSR/inbound, and builder) around shared goals and a consistent customer experience.
- Establish sales goals, KPIs, and performance expectations across all teams and channels; translate results into clear accountability for every manager in the organization.
- Build scalable sales processes and playbooks that support multi-trade expansion, and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, builders, and partners.
Revenue Performance, Forecasting & Pricing
- Own total revenue performance, forecasting accuracy, and gross margin outcomes across all segments, building rolling 30/60/90-day forecasts and providing regular pacing updates to leadership.
- Monitor pipeline health, conversion ratios, and opportunity flow across all channels; develop and enforce pricing strategies, discounting frameworks, and consumer financing utilization to protect margin and close rate.
- Partner with leadership on budgeting, profitability planning, and growth targets, flagging risks and opportunities proactively.
Team Development & Accountability
- Recruit, develop, and retain department and channel managers, including the CSR Manager and Builder Relations Manager, building a bench of capable sales leaders as the company grows.
- Conduct regular one-on-ones and performance reviews with direct reports; coach to strengths, address performance gaps directly, and implement structured accountability rhythms and career pathways.
- Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, and customer focus throughout all sales teams, modeling the standard of professionalism expected across the organization.
Channel & Program Leadership
- Own the performance of the CSR/call center function and the new construction sales channel, including builder, developer, and general contractor relationships, pipeline health, and revenue performance.
- Lead go-to-market strategy for plumbing, electrical, and commercial as they launch and scale, including cross-selling, multi-trade attachment, and pricing benchmarks for the new divisions.
- Align lead generation and sales volume with operational capacity across install, service, and new construction; manage backlog and production pacing to protect both revenue and customer experience.
Marketing, Process & Technology
- Partner with marketing to drive consistent, high-quality lead flow, holding teams accountable to cost-per-lead, cost-per-acquisition, and full-funnel conversion targets.
- Build and standardize sales processes, training programs, and performance playbooks from the ground up; oversee CRM, call tracking, and reporting systems to give leadership real-time KPI visibility.
- Use data to identify trends, surface revenue opportunities, and close execution gaps across every channel.
Qualifications
Required
- 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth across multiple channels or segments; HVAC, plumbing, electrical, commercial, or home services backgrounds strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ownership of revenue, forecasting, and gross margin outcomes, with strong business and financial acumen.
- Proven success managing and developing managers, including building high-performing, accountable teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and manage KPI frameworks and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with ServiceTitan or comparable field service management software, and CRM/sales analytics tools.
