About JARDUM

JARDUM is an electronics and systems integrator for specialized vehicle and engine driven equipment builders. Our engineers have worked with OEMs of all sizes, helped design the products themselves, and can integrate them and customize them quickly. Our team is small, and that’s a good thing. We serve companies who need the breadth of capabilities of a large OEM, but demand the nimbleness of a small team. Partnering with manufacturers and builders of all sizes, we attack complex engine and vehicle systems head on.

Description

About this Job

JARDUM develops hardware and software used in engine-driven equipment for control, dashboards, infotainment, and monitoring. Our products go on work trucks, wakeboard boats, off-road vehicles, and construction equipment.

We're looking for a GUI developer who genuinely loves vehicles. If you get excited about boats, powersports, trucks, or anything with a motor— and you can build polished user interfaces — this role is for you. A passion for real world equipment applications is a requirement, not a nice-to-have.

Examples of work to be performed:

  • Implement embedded GUIs for vehicle displays using Qt, Crank Storyboard, and Enovation Controls PowerVision
  • Translate designs from Figma into functioning embedded interfaces
  • Create and prepare graphics assets for resource-constrained displays
  • Test UIs on real hardware — displays, keypads, and vehicle networks

Skill areas needed:

  • Programming in C, C++, or QML/JavaScript
  • Knowledge of UI/UX concepts and graphics tools (Figma, Adobe suite, or similar)
  • Demonstrated interest in vehicles, boats, powersports, or similar

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Qt, Crank Storyboard, or other embedded GUI frameworks
  • Use of source control management tools such as Git
  • Experience with embedded Linux platforms
  • Familiarity with engine and vehicle communication protocols (CAN)
  • Experience in Unity, Godot or other gaming engines

Location:

This position is hybrid remote in Austin, TX. To work remotely requires reliable internet connection, headset, and webcam. For Fall or Spring internships, candidates will need to be able to work 12 hours per week between the hours of 8A-6P, M-F. Initial training will be conducted fully in office. Projects may require in-office work for access to hardware and test setups.
