Glenfields Foods is a family-owned meat manufacturer supplying restaurants, wholesalers and foodservice customers throughout the UK. We specialise in premium burgers, smash patties, steaks and other meat products, producing over 150,000 burgers every week.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Factory Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our production facility.

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will take responsibility for production, people, quality, health & safety and operational performance, ensuring customer orders are manufactured efficiently and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operation of the factory.
  • Lead and motivate production staff and supervisors.
  • Plan labour and production schedules.
  • Ensure customer orders are produced accurately and on time.
  • Maintain FSA, HACCP and food safety standards.
  • Drive continuous improvements in productivity and efficiency.
  • Monitor yields, waste and production costs.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
  • Conduct staff training, performance management and disciplinary procedures where required.
  • Work closely with Directors to improve operational performance.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous Factory Manager or Production Manager experience within food manufacturing.
  • Experience within the meat industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, food safety and quality systems.
  • Experience managing KPIs and production performance.
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Working Hours

Monday – 5:00am – 4:00pm

Tuesday -5:30am - 4:00pm

Wednesday - 5:00am – 4:00pm

Thursday - 5:30am - 4:00pm

Friday: 4:30am – 1:30pm

Weekends free

Pay: £50,000.00 per year
