Job Description:

To support our Reservoir Performance operations in Australasia, we are currently looking for Field Engineer experienced in Surface Well Testing. Applications are invited from people with Drilling Stem Testing (DST), Tubing Conveyed Perforation (TCP), Surface Well Testing (SWT) and Reservoir Sampling & Analysis (RSA).

A Surface Well Test Field Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and managing surface well testing operations at oil and gas exploration and production sites. This role involves the installation, operation, and maintenance of well test equipment to measure, sample, and analyze well fluids and flow rates, providing critical data to support reservoir evaluation and production strategies..

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Prepare, mobilize, and set up well testing equipment at the rig or well site.

· Supervise and participate in rig-up and rig-down of well test packages.

· Conduct well test operations, including data acquisition, sampling, pressure, and flow measurements.

· Monitor and control process parameters during surface well testing to ensure safety and operational efficiency.

· Troubleshoot equipment issues in the field, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.

· Record, interpret, and report test results, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for each job.

· Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory regulations.

· Liaise with clients, drilling teams, and other service providers to coordinate testing activities.

· Provide on-site technical advice and support to junior operators and clients.

Other Responsibilities

· Ensures that people, equipment and materials arrive on time on location, and are rigged up, tested and ready to perform the job with no deviations from SESS (Specific Equipment and Site Safety) standards and contingency plans in place.

· Ensures pre job meetings are held with Surface well testing, TCP/DST Personnel, Client and third- party personnel. Is accountable for the complete Service Delivery process to the Client.

· Executes successful jobs as per the design provided and approved by the Client.

· Recognizes risks associated with the operation and reduces these risks to as low as reasonably possible.

· Identifies any potential unplanned changes to the job program at the well site and initiates the district's Management of Change procedure(s).

· Prepares job design including gun planning, SPAN modelling to determine charge performance

· Ensures that all well testing employees and contractors at the work site are in compliance with Surface Testing/TCP/DST/RSA Safety Standards and other, relevant standards.

· Ensures that all personnel assigned are competent to drive and/or operate their assigned equipment.

· Completes all the required pre and post job paperwork and job tickets on time and without errors as per company policies.

· Ensures preventive maintenance on downhole equipment are as per TLM standards and safe, clean and proper working condition for the next service job.

· Perform CAT Self Assessments to ensure compliance with Surface Testing/DST/TCP/RSA and SLB QHSE Standards.

· Participates in the District HS&E & Quality initiatives and programs (e.g. SOIM's, Risk Assessments, Quality Improvements, Emergency Response Plan, HSE and SQ Objectives, LPT and SQC).

· Performs Risk Analysis (e.g. HARC, JSA) before each job or task and identifies & addresses potential safety hazards. Corrects and report hazards immediately in QUEST or to Supervisor.

· Develops Technical knowledge in design and evaluation working closely with the mentor.

· Works with Manager and TDS to prepare for future career options.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Degree or diploma in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.

· Experience in oilfield surface well testing, flow measurement, or production testing operations.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with well test equipment and instrumentation.

· Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.

· Willingness to work in remote locations and rotational schedules.

· Commitment to safety and quality standards.

· No travel restrictions and open to relocation in Australia based on company’s requirement.

· Ability to maintain, prepare and dispatch of equipment.

· Ability to maintain high quality of service delivery, in terms of safety, quality and efficiency of operation.

· Ability to run required services, supervise operations and managing people, interact with clients and other related parties.

· Excellent English written and verbal communication skills essential.
