Combined Weld is seeking a motivated Junior Mechanical / Electrical Engineer to support maintenance and reliability activities at Sino Iron. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on experience with large-scale mining equipment while working alongside experienced maintenance professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance and reliability of heavy mobile and fixed mining equipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and basic electrical systems.
• Coordinate and monitor preventative and scheduled maintenance activities.
• Support breakdown investigations and help identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Work closely with LV workshops and heavy earthmoving equipment maintenance teams.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements.
• Ensure all work complies with site safety procedures and company standards.
• Prepare technical reports and maintenance documentation.

About You

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 1–3 years' engineering experience
• Strong interest in heavy mining equipment and maintenance engineering.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CMMS/SAP is advantageous.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Full Australian working rights.
