Form and Pour is seeking an experienced Formwork Carpenter to join our site team. This is a full-time ongoing position, offering 38 hours per week in Sydney, NSW.

About the Role
In this role you will be responsible for setting out, constructing, assembling, dismantling and removing formwork systems for concrete structures (walls, slabs, columns, beams, lift shafts etc). You will work closely with the site foreman, other trades, project manager and subcontractors to ensure the work is completed safely, to specification and on schedule.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Read and interpret project drawings, specifications and formwork schedule;
- Layout, construct, install, adjust, maintain and remove timber, plywood, steel, aluminum and modular formwork systems;
- Erect formwork for vertical and horizontal concrete elements (walls, cores, beams, suspended slabs, columns);
- Ensure formwork and falsework is plumb, level, aligned and secured in accordance with engineer and manufacturer specifications;
- Coordination with reinforcement (steel fixing), concrete pour crews, and post-tensioning were required;
- Conduct adjustment, bracing, propping and stay-in-place systems as required;
- Inspect formwork and falsework daily, report and rectify faults or hazards;
- Maintain adherence to site Safety Management System (SMS), WHS regulations and company standards;
- Operate hand and power tools, elevate platforms, mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), scaffolding, forklift/telehandler as required (with appropriate licenses);
- Work collaboratively with team, meet deadlines, maintain clean, safe and organized work areas.
Skills & Experience – What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum Cert III in Carpentry including at least two years of on-the-job training, or three years of relevant and proven experience as a Formwork Carpenter on commercial/industrial construction projects;
- Proven experience in all aspects of formwork carpentry (timber, aluminum, modular systems);
- Ability to read engineering drawings, plans and specifications;
- Demonstrated safety awareness, with current White Card (CPCCOHS1001), Construction Induction Card and valid site access credentials;
- Current driver’s license (Australian) and willingness to travel to various site locations in Sydney region;
- Ability to work at heights, perform manual handling, and adapt to varying site conditions;
- Good communication skills, ability to work as part of a team and under minimal supervision;
- High level of reliability, punctuality and strong work ethic.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
