Frontend Software Development Engineer

Role Overview

• Reports to: VP or SVP of Software Development
• Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)
• Tech Stack: React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, C#, .NET Core, SQL Server, AWS

Essential Functions

• Full-Cycle Development: Participate in all phases of the SDLC, from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Feature Engineering: Build and optimize Frontend UI and UX based on design specifications, including cross browser and cross device compatibility.
• Mobile Support: Develop and maintain our mobile presence using React Native to ensure a consistent member experience.
• Problem Solving: Investigate user pain points, identify root causes, and engineer scalable solutions.
• System Maintenance: Maintain and refactor existing codebases while proactively integrating new technologies and architectures.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct functional and unit testing before delivering code to UAT to ensure high-performance standards.

Required Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or a related field) OR 3+ years of equivalent practical experience.
• Professional Experience: 1-5 years of software development experience
• Core Skills: Prior experience with React Native and JavaScript is required.
• Other Skills: Proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem (ASP.NET MVC 5, .NET Core) is preferred
