Position Overview
We are seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer with strong experience in cloud-based application development, data engineering, and backend technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Node.js, AWS services, PySpark, SQL optimization, and PostgreSQL database management.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong experience with:
- JavaScript
- Node.js
- Node-RED
- Python / PySpark
- Apache Spark
- SQL
- PostgreSQL
- Hands-on experience with AWS services:
- AWS Glue
- Lambda
- S3
- RDS
- EventBridge
- Step Functions
- Experience with:
- Query optimization, indexing, and partitioning
- Docker and containerized environments
- Virtual environment management
- Strong understanding of backend development and cloud-native architectures
- Experience working in Agile development environments
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and data pipelines
- Build and optimize cloud-native solutions using AWS services
- Develop ETL/data processing workflows using PySpark and AWS Glue
- Optimize PostgreSQL databases and SQL query performance
- Implement APIs, integrations, and workflow automation solutions
- Support deployment, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams in an Agile environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Federal Government project experience
- Active Public Trust Clearance
Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
