Position Overview:
InSequence is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our growing software development team supporting mission-critical applications. This role is ideal for software engineers who enjoy working throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, architecture, design, development, testing, implementation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
Successful candidates will collaborate with engineers, customers, and stakeholders to develop scalable web applications utilizing modern JavaScript technologies while contributing to Agile development teams and CI/CD environments. Depending on experience, candidates may also provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph, or the ability to obtain one.
Duties Include:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications and services.
- Contribute to technical solution design and implementation efforts.
- Develop and maintain RESTful and/or SOAP-based services and APIs.
- Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and regression tests.
- Work within modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues across multiple environments.
- Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and customers to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to software engineering best practices.
- Continuously learn and adapt to evolving technologies and project requirements.
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience developing modern web applications using React.js.
- Experience developing backend services using Node.js.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience utilizing Git-based source control systems.
- Experience working within CI/CD environments.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications:
Mid-Level Software Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field and 2+ years of relevant software development experience, OR
- 6+ years of relevant professional IT/software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
Senior Software Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technical field and 6+ years of relevant software development experience, OR
- 10+ years of relevant professional IT/software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
- Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 certification
- Experience supporting Federal Government or Department of Defense environments
ADA Notations:
- Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
- Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy.
- Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding).
Salary Range:
- The final salary can be influenced by a variety of factors, such as Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, educational background, and certifications.
