Position Summary

We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to help us execute our vision to be a strong, cohesive, easily recognizable, community-focused and mission-driven brand. The Graphic Designer is an integral part of the marketing team and responsible for creating impactful visuals across a variety of mediums including digital, print and product. This role works closely with other departments to execute a three-prong marketing plan that includes inbound marketing strategy, community engagement, and traditional promotion across a variety of channels including website, social media, email, public relations and more.

Our departmental goals are:

3. We will do high-quality work that is recognizable, cohesive, reflective of our mission and aligned with agency-wide goals.

4. We will question norms. Why are we doing this? Can it be done another way?

5. We will innovate through experimentation and iterate rapidly. We will pivot quickly when something doesn’t work and find a solution that does. We will embrace this process as a means to delivering our unique value to our community.

6. We will work to fully understand what our community needs from us and to deliver that value, knowing that growth will be a natural result of fulfilling this promise.

7. We will respect one another, grow and learn together, and maintain a positive and inspiring work environment.

2. Ensure adherence to visual brand standards across the agency

3. Support colleagues in creating their own materials via the creation of easy-to-use marketing templates and systems (via Canva Teams)

4. Design responsive graphics and provide visual design support for the agency website (WordPress experience a plus)

5. Work directly with external vendors including printer and advertising reps to ensure all printed materials are packaged, submitted, and arrive in-house in a timely manner and digital ads are submitted to spec

6. Own the distribution of marketing materials and monitor supply and tidiness throughout the building

7. Assist other departments with creative projects and needs as necessary

Ideal Qualifications, Skills + Abilities:

1. College degree in a related field and/or 2+ years of relevant experience

2. Experience in graphic design and proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (primarily InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)

3. Both creative and capable of working within a set of brand guidelines and specifications

4. Keen understanding of visual elements (layout, image selection, typeface, color use) and how to package design work for print/digital use

5. Can fulfill a creative brief, ask questions, receive feedback, iterate, and collaborate with team members

6. Meticulous attention to detail (including basic copy-editing ability), a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable working to deadline

7. Strong organizational skills and some experience working with a project management system (experience with Monday.com a plus)

8. Enthusiastic self-starter who is comfortable creating their own systems and processes for efficient workflow
