Position Summary

VERSA is seeking a Geospatial Application Developer responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise GIS applications supporting Federal Government customers. The successful candidate will build scalable web and mobile geospatial applications while integrating mapping technologies, cloud services, and enterprise databases.

Position Objectives

• Develop enterprise GIS applications. Integrate spatial services and APIs. Support cloud-based GIS modernization. Improve user experience through intuitive mapping applications. Ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Software Development

Develop applications using:

• ArcGIS Maps SDK ArcGIS Experience Builder JavaScript TypeScript C# .NET Python REST APIs

GIS Integration

• Integrate ArcGIS Enterprise. Develop feature services. Publish map services. Build interactive dashboards. Support mobile GIS applications.

Cloud Development

Support deployments on:

• Microsoft Azure Azure Government AWS

Develop cloud-native GIS solutions utilizing containers and microservices where appropriate.

DevSecOps

• Implement CI/CD pipelines. Perform automated testing. Maintain secure coding practices. Participate in Agile development.

Required Technical Skills

• ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise ArcGIS Pro ArcGIS Online JavaScript TypeScript .NET Python REST APIs Azure SQL Server PostgreSQL

Preferred Skills

• React Angular Experience Builder Web AppBuilder Azure DevOps Docker Kubernetes GitHub

Preferred Certifications

• Esri Enterprise Administration Microsoft Azure Developer Associate Azure Solutions Architect GISP ITIL® Foundation

Experience Levels

Junior through SME aligned with CenTAM labor definitions, emphasizing progressively advanced GIS software development, enterprise architecture, cloud deployment, and technical leadership.

Desired Federal Experience

Experience supporting Census Bureau, NOAA, FEMA, DHS, DOI, USDA, EPA, or DoD geospatial modernization initiatives is highly desirable.

Security Clearance

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or higher clearance, depending on customer requirements.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
