About the role

The City is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Graduate Engineer to join our Infrastructure Services team.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across asset management, project management, design and the delivery of civil infrastructure projects that help shape Sydney's future.

Working alongside a team of experienced technical specialists, you'll contribute to the management of the City's civil infrastructure and street lighting assets, valued at more than $3 billion. You'll support the development and delivery of asset management plans, capital works programs and projects that enhance the city's liveability, sustainability and resilience.

You'll work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality infrastructure outcomes that meet community needs and support the City's vision outlined in the Community Strategic Plan, Delivering Sustainable Sydney 2030–2050.

To be successful, you'll have recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline and be able to work effectively in a professional team, build positive working relationships, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

You will also have:

• A commitment to accountability and quality outcomes
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Well-developed written, verbal and computer skills
• A current Class C Driver Licence.

To be considered, you must:

• Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or hold Australian permanent residency
• Have completed a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, within the past two years.

These are mandatory eligibility requirements and applicants who do not meet both criteria will not be considered.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.

The recommended applicant must complete a pre-employment health declaration form.
