The successful graduate will commence their first rotation in Gladstone, Central Queensland, before relocating to Perth, Western Australia, to complete their final rotation. Applicants must be willing and able to relocate between both locations as part of the graduate program.

As a Mechanical Engineer
Your program starts with an extended rotation through our large Gladstone operations to gain real technical depth and mentoring, before you move across to Naval Base in Perth. Across both sites, you’ll develop your capability as an engineer across maintenance reliability, operational support and shutdown coordination. Working alongside experienced engineers, trades and leaders, you’ll:
- Build maintenance foundations and reliability systems knowledge in heavy industrial operations
- Gain exposure to shutdowns, project support and operational improvement
- Develop capability in root cause analysis, maintenance strategies and operational troubleshooting
- Apply what you’ve learned to maintenance optimisation and reliability initiatives at Naval Base
- Get involved in reliability and asset improvement projects that will shape the future of our operations
- Gain leadership exposure across maintenance and operational support under supervision
- Completing (or have recently completed) a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
- Enjoy working as part of a team and building strong working relationships
- Love solving complex problems and making sense of data
- Resilient, proactive, and ready to step outside your comfort zone
- Keen to grow, learn and take on new challenges
- Open to relocation, starting in Gladstone, QLD before moving to Naval Base, WA (we’ll support you the whole way)
