Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Grant Writer / Manager to join our team and drive our mission forward through strategic fundraising efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for researching, developing, and submitting compelling grant proposals to secure funding from government agencies, foundations, and other nonprofit organizations. You will manage the entire grant lifecycle, ensuring compliance with funder requirements while supporting program development and organizational growth. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research on grant funding opportunities aligned with organizational goals and programs
- Develop persuasive grant proposals, including narrative content, budgets, and supporting documentation
- Manage the full grant submission process, ensuring timely and accurate applications in compliance with funder guidelines
- Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information for proposal development and reporting
- Oversee contract management processes, including reviewing terms, ensuring compliance, and maintaining records
- Prepare financial reports, progress updates, and post-award documentation to meet funder expectations
- Edit and proofread all grant-related content for clarity, accuracy, and professionalism
- Conduct ongoing research on potential funding sources and develop strategic plans for diversified fundraising efforts
- Support nonprofit community outreach initiatives by identifying new opportunities for partnership and funding growth
Qualifications
- Proven experience in grant writing and management within nonprofit or community organization settings
- Strong understanding of contracts, grants management systems, and database management experience such as Raiser's Edge or comparable platforms
- Excellent technical writing skills with a focus on persuasive proposal development and content editing
- Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed research on grant opportunities and funding landscapes
- Experience with grant submission processes including budgeting, financial report writing, and compliance monitoring
- Knowledge of nonprofit foundation practices, government agency fundraising strategies, and program development techniques
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Strong project management capabilities to oversee the entire lifecycle of grants from research through reporting
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting complex information clearly
- Familiarity with strategic planning, budgeting processes, and financial reporting within a nonprofit context

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
