Graphic Designer & Digital Platform Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Graphic Designer and Electronic Media/Platform Manager

Description: Full-time

40 hours per week between 8:30-5:00

Some evenings and weekends as required

Responsibilities:

1. Create print and digital event collateral, marketing materials, and exhibition graphics.

2. Manage print projects from initial brief to final press check.

3. Convey designs through a variety of mediums including print, social media, web, etc.

4. Manage website. This may include development and scripting. Training will be provided as needed.

1. Oversee production & distribution of mass emails for AIA Houston & Architecture Center Houston.
2. Collaborate in exhibit design, production and installation as needed.
3. Responsible for AIA Houston & Architecture Center Houston Annual Report.
4. Attends and works events as requested.
5. Attends committee meetings as requested.
6. Performs other office related duties as requested.

Professional requirements:

The position requires a Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or related field with extensive experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is necessary. The candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills and work well in a team environment.

Additional requirements:

• Candidates will be expected to present a strong portfolio which demonstrates experience with a wide range of programs and materials.
