Job Overview
We are seeking a Graphic Designer with strong production-art skills to support our embroidery, screen-printing, and digital transfer workflows. This role focuses on preparing customer-provided artwork for production, communicating directly with clients, and ensuring all orders move smoothly through the pipeline. Creativity is welcome, but this position is primarily production-focused rather than original design creation.
Responsibilities
- CorelDRAW / Illustrator — Use industry-standard software to prepare and adjust customer artwork.
- Critical thinking — Solve layout, sizing, and production challenges efficiently.
- Customer communication — Provide clear updates on order status directly to clients.
- Wilcom / Printavo experience a plus.
- Mock up garments with customer designs, specifying placement, size, and colors.
- Make minor adjustments to artwork to ensure files are production ready.
- Separate colors for screen printing and prepare print-ready separation films.
- Photograph production samples and email proofs to customers.
- Make revisions based on client feedback.
- Create and order gang sheets for DTF transfers.
- Typeset and prepare name personalization for embroidery and digital transfers.
- Review designs for spelling errors and omissions before printing.
- Perform Pantone color matching for accurate production results.
- Document order status in internal software for accurate tracking.
- Prepare orders for the production floor with all required details.
- Work primarily with customer-provided artwork (minimal original design creation).
- Willing to train motivated candidates with the right mindset.
Skills
- Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; familiarity with CorelDRAW and Printavo is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of color theory, typography, layout design, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience with print production processes such as prepress workflows and typesetting.
- Technical skills in motion graphics creation using Adobe After Effects and video editing tools.
- Knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WordPress content management system.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent presentation skills coupled with the ability to communicate ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) for digital asset deployment.
- Attention to detail in photo editing, photo manipulation, and digital art creation.
- Understanding of marketing principles to develop effective visual campaigns.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines.
