Health and Safety Manager- 23 mth FTC
£ 46,224 47,813 plus a location allowance of £1,750 and excellent benefits
Based in Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes with the flexibility of hybrid working depending on business need
Free shuttle bus available between central Milton Keynes and Hanslope Park

Job description

Lead the implementation of our health and safety strategy
When you join us in this vital role itll be your task to manage a wide range of Health and Safety management activities, and provide constructive expertise to our contractors, customers and all areas of our global organisation. Designing and deploying relevant policies and procedures, and delivering clear advice relating to the work we do, youll use structured audit and inspection methods to monitor and review compliance with our policies, ensure procedures are in place and enforced, and provide improvement and development support.
But your work wont stop here youll work on projects and project bids, and offer advice to senior management, product and service delivery teams and contractors on compliance with our safety management systems. Well also expect you to lead on the Health and Safety aspects of engineering operations, estates management and logistics operations, and forge positive working relationships with Trade Union representatives, safety support staff, regional managers, construction contractors and other stakeholders.
Keep our complex global projects and environments safe
With a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, you should possess well developed Health and Safety management experience relating to multi-site, multi-disciplined activities and remote worker management
Your inspirational interpersonal and communication skills will allow you to influence change and drive continual improvements while experience of providing safety advice and support in construction projects would be a bonus. The ability to support Health and Safety across a diverse range of global operations would also be desirable, as would Chartered Membership of IOSH.

Person specification
We are looking for people with:
- Certified Member of IOSH (CertIOSH)
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
- NEBOSH Health & Safety Management for Construction (or working towards)
- CiTB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (or working towards)
- Experience in delivery of mentoring, coaching and training
- Expert in investigation of health and safety incidents and accidents, including root cause analysis
- Experience on providing innovative solutions to safety issues in challenging and safety critical environments
- At least 5 years health and safety advisory experience in multi-site, multi-disciplined activities, and remote worker management.
