Industrial Automation Engineer (Ignition Development)
Rate: $70/hr-$90/hr all-in rate (depending on experience)+ Expenses (when onsite)
Start: ASAP
Duration: Through end of year with strong extension potential
Location: Pittsburgh Area (Hybrid)
Must Have:
- Strong industrial/manufacturing systems experience
- Hands-on Ignition development/configuration experience
- Experience working with MES systems or manufacturing application modernization
- Strong SQL/database experience
- Experience working within manufacturing environments
Nice to Have:
- AVEVA PI Historian
- Basic networking/infrastructure knowledge (IP addresses, switches, industrial communication protocols)
- AI/agent-based programming experience
Project Overview:
- Modernize legacy MES functionality using Ignition
- Configure and develop new Ignition applications
- Support SQL databases and manufacturing applications
- Standardize and clean up the AVEVA PI Historian environment
- Support manufacturing data integration into the cloud data lake
- Collaborate with manufacturing and R&D teams across North America
W2 position – only US Citizens, Green Card holders, or candidates with EADs, OPT need apply (no C2C).
Pay: $70.00 - $90.00 per hour
