Information Security Analyst

Responsibilities Include:

• Ensure firewall configurations, network (WAN, LAN, WLAN), and devices are secure, hardened, and aligned with corporate security requirements.
• Monitor, investigate, and report on security incidents, breaches, vulnerabilities, and unusual network or system behavior.
• Conduct internal and external risk assessments, control analysis, and vulnerability scans; take ownership of remediation.
• Manage user access, audit permissions, enforce least privilege policies, and recommend proactive mitigation measures.
• Develop proposals, recommendations, and security documentation; create reports and alerts for executives and teams.
• Monitor public, private, and classified sources for emerging threats; respond to escalated security issues.
• Partner with vendors to maintain and troubleshoot physical security systems, including NVRs, IP cameras, and badge readers, to ensure facility protection and support investigations.
• Support and contribute to the organization’s overall security posture and perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of IT security experience
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to communicate highly technical information to non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization
• Will need strong organizational skills
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience collecting and analyzing events and creating relevant reports
• Ability to be able to brief and effectively communicate in a concise, effective, and persuasive manner.
• Needs to have strong problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with LogRhythm and other sys-loggers
• Understanding of securing cloud computing
