Overview
Join our dynamic interior design team as an Interior Design Assistant and be a vital contributor to creating inspiring, functional, and aesthetically captivating spaces. You will support project execution from conceptualization to final installation, ensuring every detail aligns with client visions and design standards. Duties
- Assist senior designers with conceptual development, mood boards, and presentation materials using software such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and SketchUp
- Prepare detailed layout designs and visual presentations that communicate design ideas effectively to clients
- Support the creation of digital renderings and 3D animations using Maya, 3D animation tools, or CAD software to visualize space concepts
- Contribute to material selection, color schemes, typography choices, and fabrications that enhance overall design coherence
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for procurement of materials and oversee fabrication processes including carpentry and conservation framing
- Help organize site visits, measure spaces accurately using hand tools and digital measurement devices, and assist with installation logistics
- Maintain organized project files, records of client communications, and ensure timely updates on project progress
Skills
- Proficiency in digital design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, SketchUp, and web design platforms
- Strong understanding of art direction principles including color theory, typography, layout design, and visual storytelling
- Experience with motion graphics, video editing (Adobe Premiere), post-production techniques, and AV system installation is a plus
- Knowledge of interior design concepts combined with technical proficiency in CAD software and 3D modeling applications like Maya or SketchUp
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients through presentations using professional presentation software; excellent written skills for documentation
- Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including carpentry, rigging, use of power tools, hand tools, conservation framing or museum experience is desirable
- Familiarity with photography for marketing purposes and understanding of graphic design software for media content creation

Pay: $45,000.00 - $61,795.60 per year
