Who we are
At Innovatrics, we build biometric technologies for elections, border control, digital ID, and secure onboarding in 80+ countries. Our algorithms have reached over a billion people. We delivered the full end-to-end biometric solution for Guinea’s national elections, covering 3,000 enrollment stations and an ABIS system serving millions of citizens.
What this internship looks like
This is a long-term, rotational internship. Over 1–2 years you’ll spend around 6 months in each of several teams, getting a real, hands-on view of how we take our technology from an idea to something that works for clients around the world. By the end you’ll have a broad overview, a clear idea of which role fits you best, and contacts and knowledge across the company – wherever you decide to land.
Curious about career possibilities beyond development? This program is designed to let you explore multiple IT functions – development, system engineering, support, project management and pre-sales/solution delivery – before you specialize. The rotations are flexible: you’ll try at least two of the roles below, but you don’t have to go through all of them – we shape the mix together based on your interests and fit.
The rotations
Development
Hands-on software development within one of the engineering teams.
You’ll get a taste of:
- Writing, reviewing and testing production code
- Working within an agile engineering team and its tooling
- Understanding how our biometric algorithms become shipped products
System Engineer
The hands-on technical role. System Engineers install and configure our products at the client’s site, make sure everything works with the client’s systems, and fix technical issues that come up.
You’ll get a taste of:
- Setting up and configuring hardware and software
- Solving technical problems during and after installation
- Basic scripting and automation
- How cloud systems and databases fit into the bigger picture
Support Engineer
A mix of technical knowledge and communication skills. Support Engineers help clients when something isn’t working and find the root cause, not just the symptom.
You’ll get a taste of:
- Answering client questions and solving technical issues
- Finding the root cause of a problem, not just the symptom
- Working with networks, databases and logs to figure out what went wrong
- Working closely with other teams to fix issues fast
Technical Project Manager
For those who like organizing and keeping an overview. Project Managers make sure projects run on time, on budget, and that everyone knows what’s going on.
You’ll get a taste of:
- How a project gets planned – goals, budget, deadlines
- How a team is coordinated so everyone knows their tasks
- How we track progress and catch problems early
- How we keep clients updated and happy
Solution Delivery Manager / Pre-sales
People and technology together. You help Business Consultants prepare for client meetings, support them at exhibitions, and see how a client’s problem turns into a project – and how technical knowledge builds trust.
You’ll get a taste of:
- How pre-sales works – what happens before a client signs a contract
- How technical people talk to clients and solve problems together
- How a project moves from “client has a problem” to “client is happy”
What happens after?
If it’s a good match on both sides, we’re happy to keep working together – part-time alongside your studies, or full-time once you’re ready. The internship does not guarantee a full-time position, but developing our interns into permanent colleagues is exactly what this program is for.
About you
- Currently enrolled full-time toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s in IT, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field – and not in your final year of study.
- Basic knowledge of Linux and Programming.
- Curious about technology and how it’s used in the real world.
- English at a good communication level – we work with international clients and colleagues every day.
- Proactive – you notice problems and try to solve them, not just wait for instructions.
- Comfortable talking to people – some rotations involve regular client contact.
- Eager to explore different technical roles and rotate between departments.
No prior work experience needed. We’ll teach you what you need to know – we’re mainly looking for the right mindset.
